Our school provides educational programs for students aged from birth to the end of Year 12. Students of compulsory school age have a diagnosed intellectual disabilities, with a large percentage of the whole school population also having additional disabilities, including autism, hearing, vision and physical impairments.
Approximately 170 students are enrolled in the school and Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP). These students come from a large geographical area of Logan.
For children of compulsory school age, enrolment is subject to the process outlined in Education Queensland’s Procedure: Enrolment in State Primary, Secondary and Special Schools which can be located on the Department of Education website.
To be enrolled in the Special School students generally must:
be diagnosed with an intellectual impairment; and
live within the school's catchment area (i.e. that Logan City Special School is the closest special school to their home).
A different process exists for enrolment in the ECDP. For more information regarding enrolment please contact us or the Principal Education Officer (PEO) at the South East Region of Department of Education and Training on (07) 5656 6688.
The Department of Education has information on the website about the
support available for students with disability.
